Hey Brides, this one is for you!
I am so excited to introduce my brand new blog series, all about planning your BEST DAY YET!
If you are planning a wedding in 2024 or 2025, then you have come to the right spot! This 6 weeks series will help you as you begin to prepare and get excited for your best day. It will be jam packed with all the best tips and tricks, not just from me, but from some of the best vendors in the business. (That I can not wait to introduce you too soon!!)
As a wedding vendor, I have the privilege of being a part of so many special days and have learned a thing or two that I believe will be helpful for you to know as you plan yours. In this series, I will be sharing some of my biggest do’s (and don’ts) as you look forward to your best day yet. It is going to be so good!
So, if you (or your best girl) are planning a wedding soon — make sure to turn your notifications on so you don’t miss a post! The lineup is set, the vendors have spoken, and we can’t wait to share our best advice and wedding day moments with you soon.
You have the ring and can not wait to say “I do.” This week, we will be talking about all the FIRST things to do. I will be highlighting a couple of my favorite planners to work with, and I can not wait for you to meet them (they will help your wedding day go FLAWLESSLY and I promise, you want them to be there)!
This week, we are setting the date and the place. I will give you my tips and tricks (as a photographer) to picking out the best venue for your wedding day. I will be highlighting the best questions to ask and the things to think through as you begin previewing venues. As always, I have the lineup for my favorites in both Jackson and Starkville! They will chime in on what makes them unique and share a little bit about their favorite part of being the place you say “I Do.”
Your wedding photographer and videographer matter! It’s just about the only thing that you will take away from the day, and they will help you relive your wedding over and over again. I’ve had the honor to cross paths with some of the best, and since I can’t be there for every brides wedding (although I do wish I could) — I’m highlighting the photographers and videographers that I would have capture my special day! I hope to be on your list, but if your date is taken, these guys are phenomenal. 10/10 recommend.
These are guaranteed to leave your guest talking. The food and florals are essential, and I happen to know several incredible vendors that do them so well. I love a good bouquet (and buffet ha). I am so excited for you to meet some of my favorite in the business, some specializing in both!
If you’re dreaming of dancing the night away, the DJ and Band are essential to getting everyone on the dance floor. I’ve seen this go good and bad, so I am here to ensure that the party doesn’t stop until you do. I LOVE a good dance floor, so don’t worry — I have you covered. I can’t wait for you to meet these incredible vendors that will make sure the dance floor is never empty and your reception is everything you imagine it to be!
I can’t wait to share my best advice on planning your best day, while still enjoying every moment. Planning a wedding can be stressful, but it doesn’t have to be. Being a part of so many wedding days, I have had the privilege of seeing what works and what doesn’t — while also getting to see some pretty creative things that you may want to incorporate too. We will talk first looks, getting ready, champagne toast, ceremony, first dances, and grand exits. I hope to answer any and all questions you may have to help your best day be just that!
I can’t wait for you to join me these next 6 weeks! It all start NEXT WEEK so mark your calendars and — see you soon!
xoxo,
Taylor

There are some wedding days that feel long in the best possible way, and then there are wedding days that seem to pass in the blink of an eye. Zach and Sarah’s wedding at The Hewlett Barn in Starkville, Mississippi somehow felt like both. After eight hours of wedding photography coverage, I remember packing up […]

I love every wedding day I get to be a part of (well, almost… ha). But every now and then, a wedding comes along that sticks with you long after it’s over. The Barrette wedding at The Hill and Moor in Starkville was one of those days. From the moment Hannah reached out, I had […]

The Frazier wedding is one of those wedding days that wedding vendors dream about. It was beautiful, intentional, emotional, and full of meaning from beginning to end. Even more than that, it was personal to me because of my long history with Brianna and the way God so clearly brought her and Max together. From […]

Photographing families year after year in Starkville, Mississippi is one of the highlights of my job. The Slaughter family has been a joy to watch grow. This was my third session with Tiffany, Zach, and their boys, and every time feels like catching up with old friends, only this time with a camera in hand. […]

It’s always such a joy to photograph families I’ve worked with before, and the Telle family session was no exception. This was my second year capturing Caitlin, her kids, and their beautiful family in Starkville, Mississippi, and it’s moments like these that remind me why I love family photography so much. Watching a family grow […]

The Wright family’s Starkville Mississippi Family photography session was a beautiful reflection of connection, growth, and the joy of becoming a family of four. Set in a field in Starkville, this session focused on togetherness and capturing this season exactly as it is. Family photography in Starkville is about more than posed portraits – it’s […]
