Shelby is a QUEEN.
Shelby Mullins is a photographer based out of Clinton, MS – but she is excited and eager to travel to you for your wedding day, wherever that may be!
I have had the honor of knowing and Shelby for a few years now, and I am so thankful to call her such a dear friend. She is a champion of all people, loves so freely, and celebrates others so well. Having her in my corner is one of my favorite things. Wedding Photographers can be known for being competitive and closed off to other photographers (just viewing them as competition), Shelby has been such a breathe of fresh air as we have done life together and cheered each other on. Celebrating victories and discussing all things wedding photography (and life).

It may seem odd that I am am highlighting another photographer, especially one with a similar style to me. But, if I can’t be there to capture your BEST DAY then there is no-one else I would recommend to be there more than Shelby Mullins.

Well, enough about my obsession with Shelby, I want you to meet her for yourself. Meet Shelby Mullins, the perfect addition to your wedding day!
Here is a little bit about Shelby-
My name is Shelby, & I’m a wedding & senior portrait photographer based in central Mississippi! I’ve owned my photography business for 5 years now, & doing this full time is my dream come true! I’m also a wife to my amazing husband Kin, a mom to baby Oliver, & a dog mom to Jasper! I love good books, planners, weight lifting, & have a weird obsession with peach mango celsius & tiramisu! I hiked the entire Grand Canyon while I was pregnant, I have a tattoo of my wedding flowers & of my son’s birth flower, & I have a master’s degree in dyslexia therapy!
Why did you choose wedding photography?
I was a 5th grade teacher before I took my business full time! I always loved photography & used to do a lot of it for fun in high school! I put that hobby away for a while, & started my education career- but decided to pick it back up in 2019! That’s when I started my business. It’s been five years since then, & a lot of things have changed! But I’ve been so thankful to have been able to take my business full time! I love photographing wedding days SO much!!
What is your favorite moment during the wedding day?
I love the moment a bride puts on her dress for the first time! I think it’s so special, & such a fun thing to photograph! I also love the moments right after the wedding ceremony–the stress is over, you’re finally married, & we get to have the best time taking sunset photos! Low key also LOVE receptions because I think it’s the best thing ever to get candids of people dancing!
Why is it worth investing in a wedding photographer?
While there are so many different aspects to planning a wedding, & many investments to make, I believe that choosing your wedding photographer is one of the most important decisions in the planning process! At the end of the day, the food will be eaten, the decorations will be taken down, & what you’ll be left with are the memories forever preserved through photographs. The memories that you’ll share with friends & family for generations to come. There is so much value in that!
What is something you offer that brides may not be aware of?
A big one is timeline creation! I also offer a 92 page bridal guide that helps brides with the planning process! Engagement sessions are also included in all wedding packages!
What is your biggest piece of advice for a bride planning their wedding?
Do everything you can beforehand to take the stress off of you on the wedding day!! A big part of that is hiring vendors that you love & trust–definitely a planner or coordinator!! Basically do everything you can to make sure you won’t have to lift a finger on the day of your wedding.
