Reconnecting with old friends through photography is one of the sweetest parts of my job. Getting to capture the Griffin family – Jake, JoBeth, and their daughter Lottie – has been such a joy. I went to high school with both JoBeth and Jake in Starkville, Mississippi. Seeing their journey as a family now, after their move from Texas to Madison, Mississippi, has been so special.
Lottie isn’t just the cutest little one, she’s also absolutely the sweetest. From her playful smiles to the gentle way she interacts with her parents, every moment we captured felt genuine. Watching her personality shine through the camera is exactly what I love about family photography.
One of my favorite parts of this session was getting to see JoBeth in her role as a mom. She’s amazing – patient, loving, and so present with Lottie – and it’s been wonderful to reconnect with her after all these years. Photography has a way of bringing people back together.

Family sessions like this are all about capturing real moments – the laughter, the little gestures, and the love that defines a family. Even though the Griffins are now living in Madison, it’s always special to photograph families with roots in Starkville and celebrate their story in a way that’s authentic, natural, and timeless.
Whether it’s your first family session or a milestone year, family photography is about documenting the moments you’ll treasure forever – playful smiles, quiet connections, and the bonds that make your family unique.

There are some wedding days that feel long in the best possible way, and then there are wedding days that seem to pass in the blink of an eye. Zach and Sarah’s wedding at The Hewlett Barn in Starkville, Mississippi somehow felt like both. After eight hours of wedding photography coverage, I remember packing up […]

I love every wedding day I get to be a part of (well, almost… ha). But every now and then, a wedding comes along that sticks with you long after it’s over. The Barrette wedding at The Hill and Moor in Starkville was one of those days. From the moment Hannah reached out, I had […]

The Frazier wedding is one of those wedding days that wedding vendors dream about. It was beautiful, intentional, emotional, and full of meaning from beginning to end. Even more than that, it was personal to me because of my long history with Brianna and the way God so clearly brought her and Max together. From […]

Photographing families year after year in Starkville, Mississippi is one of the highlights of my job. The Slaughter family has been a joy to watch grow. This was my third session with Tiffany, Zach, and their boys, and every time feels like catching up with old friends, only this time with a camera in hand. […]

It’s always such a joy to photograph families I’ve worked with before, and the Telle family session was no exception. This was my second year capturing Caitlin, her kids, and their beautiful family in Starkville, Mississippi, and it’s moments like these that remind me why I love family photography so much. Watching a family grow […]

The Wright family’s Starkville Mississippi Family photography session was a beautiful reflection of connection, growth, and the joy of becoming a family of four. Set in a field in Starkville, this session focused on togetherness and capturing this season exactly as it is. Family photography in Starkville is about more than posed portraits – it’s […]
